YOUTH DAY CELEBRATION
SOZIM was honoured to participate in the recent Youth Day Celebration hosted by the Department of Community Safety, Roads and Transportation. The event brought together various stakeholders committed to empowering young people through education, skills development, and career guidance.
As part of the celebration, SOZIM showcased career opportunities within the Occupational Certificate: Library Assistant qualification. The exhibition provided learners and community members with valuable information about the role of Library Assistants, career pathways in the library and information services sector, and the importance of promoting literacy and access to information.
The engagement created an interactive platform where young people were encouraged to explore careers in libraries, archives, and information management. SOZIM representatives also shared insights on skills development programmes aimed at equipping youth with practical workplace competencies and improving employability.
