Sozim Welcomes Two Marketing Interns for 18-Month Work-Integrated Learning Programme.

Bloemfontein, 22 July 2026 —Two Marketing Interns, Dimakatso Manare from Botshabelo and Queen Mokoena from Reitz, have begun their 18-month Work-Integrated Learning (WIL) programme at Sozim.
The WIL programme forms part of the interns’ academic requirements and provides them with an opportunity to gain practical workplace experience while applying the knowledge and skills acquired through their studies. As part of the programme, the interns are required to complete their logbooks, which record their practical training and workplace learning.
During their WIL programme, Dimakatso and Queen will gain valuable experience in the marketing field while developing important workplace skills such as communication, collaboration, professionalism, creativity and problem-solving. The programme will also provide them with an opportunity to understand how marketing knowledge is applied in a real workplace environment.
The practical training will allow the interns to build confidence and develop a better understanding of the responsibilities involved in the marketing profession. Their daily experiences will contribute to their personal and professional development as they work towards completing their academic requirements.
“We are thrilled to begin this WIL journey at Sozim. We have the chance to gain skills, build experience and obtain useful work experience through this programme. We are appreciative for the help and direction we receive as we work towards completing our practical training and logbooks,” said Dimakatso Manare and Queen Mokoena.
Sozim remains committed to supporting student development by providing opportunities that help bridge the gap between academic learning and the workplace. Through WIL, students are given the opportunity to gain practical experience and develop the skills needed to prepare for their future careers.
As Dimakatso and Queen continue with their 18-month WIL journey, they look forward to learning, growing and making the most of this valuable opportunity.
